Every great business starts with a dream, and ours began in 2010 when a mother and son decided to take a chance on an old mill building in the heart of Claremont, New Hampshire.
Mary and Nick Koloski opened the doors to what was then known as Time-Out Sports Bar & Grill, creating a place where friends could gather for great food, cold drinks, live entertainment, and unforgettable nights. What started as a neighborhood sports bar and nightclub quickly became a local favorite thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and the family's passion for hospitality. But there was something unique about the building itself. Housed inside the historic Topstone Mill, the restaurant's home carried more than a century of history- and perhaps a few mysteries. In 2012, the building gained national attention when the Syfy series Ghost Hunters visited to investigate reports of paranormal activity. The investigation was featured in the episode "Fear Factory," introducing viewers across the country to the fascinating history of the mill and the stories that surrounded it. As the years passed, Nick's vision continued to grow. What began as a sports bar evolved into Time-Out Americana Grill- a destination where great food meets unforgettable experiences. The restaurant expanded beyond dining to include escape rooms, indoor mini golf, arcade games, birthday parties, corporate events, and family entertainment, transforming the property into one of the Upper Valley's most unique attractions. The journey has not been without heartbreak. In October 2023, Time-Out lost its co-founder and heart, Mary Koloski. Her kindness, determination, and love for people helped shape the welcoming atmosphere that guests still experience today. Her legacy lives on in every smile, every meal served, and every family that walks through our doors. Today, Nick proudly carries that legacy forward. In addition to leading and growing the business, he continues to serve the Claremont community as both a City Councilor and a firefighter, reflecting the same commitment to service that has always been at the heart of Time-Out. More than a restaurant, Time-Out Americana Grill is a place where families celebrate birthdays, friends reconnect, coworkers build stronger teams, and visitors create lasting memories. Whether you're joining us for dinner, challenging yourself in an escape room, playing a round of mini golf, or simply enjoying time together, we're honored to be part of your story.
